Resumen

En construcción desde hace dos décadas y acercándose a su término en el canal Beagle, la senda de penetración Vicuña-Yendegaia cierra un ciclo de superposiciones de huellas y flujos de habitantes nativos, exploradores, baqueanos, hacheros, arrieros, etc.
El artículo aporta por vez primera la articulación de información histórica que da cuenta de un prolongado proceso de exploración y de la posterior ocupación colonizadora del extremo austral de la Isla Grande de Tierra del Fuego.

ABSTRACT


Under construction since two decades and getting closer to its conclusion in Canal Beagle, the path of penetration Vicuña-Yendegaia closes the cycle of superpositions of footprints and flows of native people, explorers, baqueanos, lumberjacks, arrieros (muleteers), etc.
This article provides, for the first time, an articulation of historical information that gives an account of a long-term process of exploration and subsequent colonization of the far south of Tierra del Fuego.
