Abstract
This study presents the results of the analyses zooarchaeological made on remains of birds, recovered from test pits excavated in sites located in Inútil bay, Tierra del Fuego. Jointly with the obtained information, the sources ethnographics are analyzed referred to the use of the birds, to delineate some hypotheses referred to the exploitation, consumption and use of the resource bird on the part of the group’s selk’nam.
